Even though the VMAs were several weeks ago everyone has been talking about the VMAs.
The awards of the nights were
Taylor Swift- Best Female Video for “You Belong With Me”
Lady Gaga- Best New Atrtist
Eminem- Best Hip Hop Video for “We Made You”
Matt & Kim- Breakthrough video
Britney Spears- Best Pop Video for “Womanizer”
T.I.- Best Male Video for “Live Your Life featuring Rihanna”
Green Day- Best Rock Video for “21 Guns”
Here are some performances of the night!
#1 Janet Jackson performing “Scream
I thought that it was cool the way the camera angle made it look like Janet was dancing with Michael. You could tell that she was holding back tears too which was really sad.
#2 Lady Gaga preforming “Paparazzi”
I thought that this was one of the best performances of the night. I loved the set up on the stage. I thought it was interesting how she had fake blood. But, wouldn’t be painful to have the fake blood in your eye?
#3 Taylor Swift performing “You Belong With Me”
This performance seemed like there was too much going on as she was going through the subway. Her voice was also a little off at the beginning, may be she was still upset about what Kanye said?????
Kanye West ruined Taylor Swifts thank you acceptance speech for winning “Best Female Artist”! I think it was very mean that he humiliated her in front of millions of people. She didn’t even get to say her acceptance speech! Later that night when Beyonce won “Best Video of the Year”, She had Taylor come up and say her acceptance speech. I think Beyonce handled the situation very well

Lady Gaga- Fashionista or Fashion failure?
Okay so every one has been talking about Lady Gaga’s insane outfits. People have been asking if her style is high fashion or just weird. At the 2009 VMA awards, Lady Gaga had a variety of outfits. Each just as insanely edgy as the rest.

This is the outfit she had arrived in to the VMAs. The over the top accessories distracted everyone from the actual dress. The feathers on the neck brace piece, mask, and hat seemed too much for people to handle.

This was another outfit she wore to the VMAs. But it is sadly another outfit were the edgy accessories distract people from the actual dress. Many of her outfits also cover her entire face.

These dresses are another favorite. I think the waist part of the dresses are one of the cool things about the dresses. The bow in the hair also compliments the dress.

New Artist-Lady Gaga
For the past year, Lady Gaga’s music has been rising the charts. Her latest album The Fame have many of her most listened to songs such as Lovegame, Poker Face, Just Dance, and Paparazzi. She has won the award at this years Video Music Award for best new artist . The genre of music that she sings is mostly pop. Her fashion sense is very wild and edgy. Her style is new, so people have different opinions about her outfits. Since her album The Fame was so successful with several hit songs, her future albums will obviously be just as good.
She has now came out with a new single called “Bad Romance” which is a song that will get stuck in your head all day. Her new album “The Fame Monster” will be out soon.
